Product Description DRAGON BALL Z - BROLY-THE LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN UN (DVD MOVIE)
In the eighth Dragon Ball movie (1993), King Kai summons Goku to stop a Super Saiyan who's laid waste to the South Galaxy, and who plans to attack Earth. Paragas arrives and implores Vegeta to rule a re-created Planet Vegeta. Paragas's son Broly was born on the same day as Goku, but at a power level of 10,000! Fearing this potential menace, Vegeta's father ordered the child killed, but he escaped with Paragus. Now the pair is seeking revenge. After the standard battles, in which characters blast each other through solid rock, Goku defeats his legendary foe--with help from Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo, and (reluctantly) Vegeta. The most surprising images in the film depict not Broly's feats of super-strength, but Goku, incongruously clad in a suit and tie for an interview at the school Chi-Chi wants Gohan to attend. (Not rated: suitable for ages 8 and older: cartoon violence) --Charles Solomon

Ultimate sayains November 14, 2009 BIG T (Louisville, kentucky) This is way better than the number 2 and 3 movie. this has about 5 people that are super saiyans in here. a great battle between goku and broly early in the movie. Broly was pretty much indestructable the whole movie. Even when goku blasted the kamehameha on broly, he didn't have a scratch on him. Then broly took over. Until goku got power from gohan, piccilo, trunks, and vegeta, and punched broly in the stomach hard enough to penitrate him and destroy him. I recomened this to your dbz collection also.
A fun DBZ movie but not for every fan April 25, 2009 Tomorrowjoe (USA) This movie was better than most of the DBZ movies because of superior length and depth. However, a major turn-off to this movie is the dissapointing end to it where Broly is owned by one lousy punch. Nevertheless the film mainly shows Broly kicking everyone's tail and for most of the film the fight is in his favor. This movie caters to fans of the villan rather than that of the protaganist. I hear all the time boasts about about how powerful Broly "really" is and I think that was a goal of the movie. It's not a film for someone who only enjoys the solid, in between the lines story and plot but for someone who wants a new twist to their saiyan fandom.
One Word. Action. October 5, 2008 Fettster (USA) This is probably my most favorite DBZ movie. Mainly because the action is awesome. Basically what happens is some Saiyan shows up named Paragus. He invites Vegeta to a new planet to be the new Planet Vegeta with Vegeta as the ruler. What Vegeta doesn't know is that Paragus actually plans on killing him, in revenge.
Long ago shortly before Planet Vegeta was destroyed Paragus bore a child named Broly. The child was so powerful at birth that King Vegeta ordered the child to be terminated. However, the termination failed and Broly survived. When Planet Vegeta exploded Broly created a barrier around himself and his father Paragus to save their lives from the explosion. Paragus now wants revenge against Vegeta for Vegeta's father's acts of trying to kill his son.
Goku, Krillin, Oolong, Roshi, Gohan, Trunks, and Yajirobe (I believe that was all) also travel to the new Planet because King Kai has sensed a disturbance in that area. Somebody has been wreaking havoc on nearby planets.
When everyone is there and Broly first sees Goku he goes into a fit of rage and completely loses all self control. Its then told that when the two were babies their cribs were placed next to each other. Goku would cry 24/7 and drive the baby Broly absolutely crazy. Because of this Broly hates Goku's guts. Kind of stupid, eh? But, whatever.
So Goku and Broly get into a little scrap and Goku realizes how strong Broly is. He realizes Broly is the one wreaking havoc.
Later in the movie is when its at its best. Trunks, Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo (who shows up by himself in one of the most awesome entrances ever) are all fighting Broly. Three Super Saiyans and 1 Super Namek cannot even scratch him. Vegeta is on the sidelines being the biggest pansy ever saying "He's the Legendary Super Saiyan! We're all doomed!" before Piccolo slaps some sense into him and he actually tries to fight. And gets his butt kicked like everyone else. How Broly is defeated isn't the coolest though. He is so strong that everyone lends their energy to Goku (it takes like 10 minutes before Vegeta finally agrees to) and Goku takes him out in one punch. No so great, bleh. The planet explodes because some asteroid was gonna hit it anyway and everyone escapes. The End.
Overall, decent DBZ movie but the plot and ending were a little lame. However its my favorite because the action is awesome. Broly is just beating the living **** out of everyone. For example there's one part where Goku shoots a kamehameha straight in Broly's face like inches from it and it doesn't even effect Broly. Then Broly grabs Goku by the head and just slams his face into the ground. Its pretty sweet.
The Best of the three Broly films. March 7, 2008 gODZILLA (Oh OKAY) This is definitely one of the best if your a fan of DBZ.The dialogue and voice acting are pretty bad, unless your a DBZ fan and gotten use to it.Once u get into it the characters are pretty likeable.I don't care what anyone else thinks of DBZ, because the only thing that matters is that u like it,so why should u let other people stop u from having fun.I'm hoping to further extend on my collection of DB,DBZ,AND DBGT.Anyways this is great, and action packed with an interesting background story.I also tend to like movies more than the series.I like that every DBZ movie teaches u the lesson of teamwork, and to stand up for what u believe in,this is mostly helpful to smaller children.Even though i'm a teenager I think this is awesome,so i'm a little immature, who isn't.I've always said, things u liked as a child stay with u forever. It's bad guys are trying of course,to take over the universe, but first they have to repopoulate and defeat all the protectors of the galaxy. This is a series I never want to end. What people don't understand is that DB,DBZ,and DBGT are like star wars, the lord of the rings and anything else that has wide variety and practicaly it's own universe. This is great knowledge for anyone who admires DBZ.
This is something every DBZ fan should have (along with everything else DBZ).Just so u know i'm not a fanatic just a collector of all sorts(just not DBZ).
I hope u liked my review, and this is great entertainment that would satisfy just about any fans hunger.
P.S. I try not to be like all the rest of the reviewers who mostly are all summarizing.
Best of the Broly Movies August 26, 2007 D. Allen This Dragonball Z movie is the best one of the Broly series, which includes Broly: Second Coming and Bio-Broly. I give this 3 stars for an interesting story and some excellent fight scenes. I like the way Broly looks, but not the way he fights. I deducted this one 2 stars because it had such a horrible ending.
